To help support our local, domestic industry to survive and prosper, we have introduced the Produced in ANZ category to reward homegrown manufacturing and design.

This new category falls under the Physical Awards stream and will be awarded to the best temporary or permanent displays produced in Australia and New Zealand. To be eligible, all design, processing of raw materials, assembly and packing of the unit must be carried out in Australia or NZ by an ANZ-based business.

Excluded elements include complete components purchased outside of Australia and raw materials. This Award has a minimum production run of 25 displays.

The first of two special Covid-related Awards for 2020, this category falls within the ‘Physical Store’ stream and is designed to recognise products that have been created specifically to help or enable brands and retailers of any type to continue operations “Covid safe” for employees and shoppers.

This may also include interesting or innovative integration of technology and sensory components that work together to create a greater connection with shopper.

Examples of this include, but are not limited to, sanitation stations, sneeze guards, masks, and floor decals, social distancing tools, tech-based products such temp checking, counting devices and check in devices including store apps.

Submissions to this category must have been instore between 1 March 2020 and 31 December 2020.

POP this POP that Retail Industrial Design

Industrial design plays a big role in the retail marketing story. This award was created to reward the very best use of industrial design skills to improve a retail display.

Following the success of the inaugural Retail Industrial Design Award in 2019, this category will be split into Temporary and Permanent in 2020.

These Awards will recognise the best use of industrial design skills to improve a display, solve a challenge, or fulfil a specific brief across any store format for both temporary or permanent displays.
