August 2019 Wrap-up
Check out August's week by week wrap-up of the globally-recognised ShopperTrak Index.
19 August: The National Index was 0% change from the week before and down -1.2% compared to this time last year.
Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne were up week on week, with the other major cities in the negative.
21 August: The National Index was down -6.2% from the week before and down -5.7% compared to this time last year.
5 August: The National Index was up 7.6% from the week before and Up 3.7% compared to this time last year.
In addition the index was up in all states according to our Major City Index. This could be due to a correlation with tax return time and the additional government incentive providing an extra boost.
