Pacprint 2022

PacPrint cancelled for 2021

Print industry expo, PacPrint 2021, which was to take place in Melbourne from September 28 to October 1, has been cancelled as a result of Covid-19 restrictions.

The iconic printing and graphics expo, which was due to run in tandem with Visual Impact Melbourne and the Label & Packaging Expo has been rescheduled for June 28 to July 1, 2022, and will be hosted at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition centre.

The PacPrint board as well as organisers, Visual Connections Australia and the Print & Visual Communications Association (PVCA), said that given the current situation in Sydney and, to a lesser extent, Melbourne, Queensland and South Australia, the decision to postpone has been inevitable.

“The past couple of weeks has demonstrated that, unfortunately, this pandemic is far from over," PacPrint Chair, Sue Threlfo, said. "Realistically, we have come to accept that restrictions will continue to apply for some weeks and perhaps months to come, which may impact not only on the venue arrangements, but on the ability of our exhibitors to properly prepare their stands.

“We are all in agreement that the increasing uncertainty for our exhibitors and visitors has become untenable, so we have made the exceptionally difficult decision to postpone the expo until 2022. The exhibitors are supportive of this decision and have indicated their commitment to the show remains unchanged.”

PacPrint has been running since 1970, and is a platform for suppliers of printing and graphic communications technology to generate business opportunities in Asia-Pacific region. in 2022 it will be co-located with the Visual Impact Expo  – one of Australia’s leading showcases for the signage, engraving, display and wide format market (which Shop! ANZ's Expo and Conference co-located with in 2016), as well as the Label & Packaging Expo 2021.
