Shop! ANZ is calling on shopper and retail marketing professionals from all retail related disciplines to participate in the first ANZ Shopper and Retail Marketing Industry Survey in three years.

The 2020 State of Retail Marketing Survey will be conducted by Shop! ANZ together with Norrelle Goldring Senior Director at House of Brand. Ms Goldring founded the industry benchmarking research in 2010 and has continued to conduct the important study every three years since, with the last taking place in 2017.

Survey participants will receive a free copy of the resulting research report, valued at $295. A summary of findings will be presented at the Shop! ANZ Professional Development Series events in Sydney on 7 May and Melbourne on 13 May.

Shop! ANZ General Manager, Carla Bridge, said the survey is one of the biggest of its kind in the world, with several hundred people participating.

“We invite retailers, brands, manufacturers, and retail-related agencies of all types to provide their views by April 3, so we can collectively understand how much progress the industry has made in the past three years and gauge how we can expect retail marketing to change,” Ms Bridge said.

Ms Goldring, said previous surveys have led to a raft of measures for industry improvement and the refocus of Shop! ANZ to develop shopper marketing tools and education for the industry in Australia and New Zealand.

“The 2020 survey includes a specific deep dive into marketing spend both at an overall level and on which activation types,” added Goldring.

Shop! ANZ invites shopper and retail marketing professionals from all retail-related disciplines to participate in the triennial Shop! State of Retail Marketing Survey.

Broad focus areas for the 2020 State of Retail Marketing Survey include:

·       Experience, support and resource levels in individuals and organisations

·       Shopper marketing activations types, touchpoints, and measurement

·       Digital, mobile and social shopper and retail marketing practice

·       Trends, Challenges & the Future
