2021 State of Retail Marketing Survey
Shop! ANZ is calling on shopper and retail marketing professionals from all retail-related disciplines to participate in the triennial Shop! ANZ Shopper and Retail Marketing Industry Survey.
This research provides a guide of where the retail marketing industry has come from and what is anticipated to play out in the coming three years, covering off issues and trends such as budgets, digital, experiential, internal structures and sustainability, among other things.
The survey is now live, and can be accessed at this link: All participants will receive a free copy of the research as a thank you for their contribution. This research is not limited to Shop! members and encompasses both Australia and New Zealand. Please share this survey among industry colleagues and contacts to ensure we get the most comprehensive view of the shopper and retail marketing industry as possible.
A deep dive into the findings of the survey will be presented at the Shop! ANZ 2021 Retail Marketing Online Conference, to be held online from September 7-8, 2021.
The survey will be conducted by retail commercial strategy and research expert, Norrelle Goldring, Executive Director of Illuminera. Norrelle founded the inaugural Shopper Marketing industry benchmark study more than a decade ago and has continued to conduct this important industry research every three years since. The 2020 report was placed on hold as a result of the disruption of Covid-19, but with the market now beginning to resume to previous levels of activity, it has never been more important to have a gauge of where the industry is moving to.
